Goofy putz Ric Renner on FSSW uttered this groaner last night after the game:

"The game started today, and ended To-Morrow"...

They've replaced the Blues as the overrated regular season team to flame out in the playoffs.

I never dreamed that these 4 teams would be in the conference finals.

That was the best save I have seen any time recently. Fucking Richards was 12 feet out, set up perfectly and I imagine put it just where he wanted. You've seen glove spectacular glove saves before but keep in mind most of those are from shots further out than that one. I still don't know how Nabokov was able to get his glove on it.

Warden Strebonow would be proud.

Basically, Richards hit the glove, and Nabokov was able to react and snag it in time (before it snapped his wrist and fell back into the net).

The puck was wobbling like crazy on the pass to Richards in the first place, so it was amazing that he was able to get as much as he did on the shot.

Still, it was ridiculous.

NHL Network has a highlights show of the 95 Blues-Canucks series on right now. Damn, that team was old.

And those stupid Blues jerseys back then.

Ian Laperriere was on the second line. Yikes.

Sure does remind me plenty of the Blues, though. Winning game six 8-2 and giving up three goals in the first period of game seven.

I remember when the Blues contacted the ice company I worked for then looking to set up filming a Blues commercial with Laperriere in one of our freezers.

Everything was a go until Keenan sent Laperriere to the minors.

There were so many shgs that series by Bure and the Canucks. Might have been a NHL record.
