They'll try again next season but you just never know with this team. It all rides on Yao's big ass feet.
i remember when it used to always rely on robinson's health. talk about difficult esp going against either utah or those houston teams.

at least you still have some good young talent. would've loved to see scola here, but eh, whatever.

One thing you can say about the Rockets is that they always have some damn good big men. From Elvin Hayes to Moses Malone to Sampson/Hakeem and now Ming.

Compare that to say, Dallas, who have rarely had anything beyond mediocre post players.

The Rockets truly over-achieved this season, winning all those games with Ming hurt for almost all of them. They have some good rebounders and defenders though. And I think they appreciate Alston more now than they did at this point last year.

bad news: spurs lost

good news: their choice of movies after the games. right now predator 2, one of those horrible guilty pleasures.

Good loss for the Spurs.

How can a loss be good for a team? It's a wake up call that this series will not be a cakewalk. If they want it, they're gonna have to earn it by defeating a very young, very athletic, very energetic, very talented Hornet team. One that believes. Gonna be interesting to see how our fav team responds, MsF.

Boston destroyed Atlanta, 99-65. Lakers beat the Jazz, 109-98.

The series will start when a team loses on its home court. Until then - I will withhold judgement. If SA wins the next one - the Hornets are in deep do do.

NBA officials strike again. Orlando screwed over big time.

With 5.1 second left before the end of the third the Pistons drive the ball and hit a 3 pointer. One problem. The clock didn't stop. Officials discuss and some how make the decision the shot went off in time, replays using a countdown clock later show the shot wasn't off in time.

This too will be swept under the rug. If shit calls like this were made in the NFL or MLB there would be riots in the streets. In the NBA it is expected.

its hard enough staying awake for TNT's crap ass scheduling and listening to reggie miller explain things beyond explanation, but to watch your team stand around like zombies while NOs is dunking in front of you. like i said before, can't wait til they get home.

and can anyone tell me why NO fans make howler monkey noises?

If they're anything like Saints fans, they're idiots.

Johnny H is the exception, of course.

I just want the Jazz to win one game for now. Preferably the game tomorrow night in LA.

Lakers are more or less having their way with the Jazz.

My favorite part was the interview with Sloan after the first quarter where he was crying about the refs calling too many fouls on the Jazz.

Fuck you. Does that asshole REALLY think the refs are going to allow the thug Jazz to get away with their brand of Gorilla ball on the road against the Lakers. They may get away with molesting McGrady but that shit ain't going to fly against the MVP.

Lakers win and shoot 43 free throws in the process. Funny how that works. I highly doubt the Jazz changed their methods in this game. It will be interesting to see how the games in Utah are called.
