Whole new backstories to figure out. I'm not convinced the 4 people that came with Naomi are 'bad', but have their own motives/obsessions about the island/Dharma. We'll see about the man on the ship.

I love how they acknowledged that Walt has grown quite a bit in the last 90 days. "Tall Ghost Walt" cracked me up. I wonder if they will leave it as that or if they will work with time not moving the same on the island.

This short 8 episode bunch is really going to leave us hanging, I'm afraid.

Who talks to dead people?

Hurley - consistently throughout the story.
Miles - except we don't see them when he talks to them.
One of the other patients who sees Charlie but doesn't talk to him.
I told my wife last week that my theory was that the Island was somehow the link between those who were dead and those who were alive.
That the people living on the island were technically neither - they were all supposed to be dead via plane crash or boat crash or other tragedy but somehow their bodies and spirits remained together on the island.
Since they were technically dead they couldn't bring forth children - which is why the birth of the baby was such a big deal.
I believe the D group somehow came up with the technology based upon their desire to have super soldiers. Individuals that could be revived in combat through the transmittal of a signal. Remember the guy who trained Sahid was a military guy who spent a lot of time on the Island training Desmond.
I think they realized it was a mistake too late - the clock resetting was an attempt to keep everything in its place. When ever ther was a mistake more people dropped into the Island - but I also believe there were more spirits that escaped from the Island - who can manifest themselves as smoke monsters. These smoke monsters can only manifest themselves for short periods of time. Should an inhibiting device on the island be eliminated they could manifest themselves full time. That is why they want Ben.

What's up with the whole Oceanic flight found at the bottom of the ocean? The helicopter pilot knew it wasn't the same pilot that the news stations are reporting. Also, he said that he was supposed to be the pilot for flight 815. Interesting.

It'd be real hard for everyone back in the US to see them if they were dead (ie, the Oceanic 6). There may be something to this, but I don't think everyone on the island is dead - but only because of the flashforwards. It would make sense that, if the island was some sort of haven for dead people (plane crash, boat wrecks, whatever), that they would be scared about outsiders somehow doing something to the island that does end up 'killing' them. But we already know people leave the island, so there's gotta be something else.

Yea - where'd that plane (and, presumably, people) come from? I knew it was a fake when they showed the plane more or less intact at the bottom of the ocean, when large pieces of it are on the island (such as the cockpit where the pilot was grabbed by whatever 'defense' system is in place back in the first episode or two).
