Hi guys,
Vernon Croy covers all major and minor sports including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NCAAB, UFC, Boxing

and Nascar. On average Vernon will release 1 to 5 plays per day which vary in each sport. Vernon does

not force plays so if there is nothing solid in the NBA for example there will not be a play for that

day. Plays are rated 10, 20 and 25 Units. 25 Units = 5% of your bankroll, 20 Units = 3 to 4% of your

bankroll and 10 Units = 2 to 3% of your bankroll.

Ad Age said it best...."One best things about the Super Bowl was watching Bill Belichick perform the most super atomic post game mope ever captured on camera." Talk about a deer in the headlights...no substance...no class...looked like a baby who had his toys taken away and didn't honor his players in the least... classless... the guy might be a great disciplinarian, but man did he blow the curtain call... worse than the Pats did the game. Whiner!

Um, Cooz, I expect better of you...

...Belichick walked out and not only SHOOK Tom Coughlin's hand, but also had a lenghty conversation before being ushered back to his sideline to conduct the last snap...

If he really was on the sideline for the final play, I have yet to see or read anything that suggested he was. I have read three seperate reports, however, that he was back in the locker room when Eli knelt the clock out.

Having shaken Coughlin's hand does not excuse his absence. Not only is it standard protocol to do that, but Coughlin hadn't moved from his sideline. Belichick initiated it. Coughlin was waiting for the end of the game, which is exactly what Belichick should have done.

I had the same thoughts on Matt Walsh. That whole part of the Times story seemed...strange. And since my resident poli sci major is back home, he explained the Senate interest to me (hey, I'm an English major!). I'd find Specter a little more credible if he weren't so obviously out for publicity and the Eagles. (Curious--being a Steelers fan, are you a little miffed he didn't mention the Pats wins over the Steelers on the way to some of those Super Bowls? I mean, supposedly he represents all of PA, right?)

I saw Goodell's comments to the NFL Network crew last night, and while he often rubs me the wrong way, he seemed credible to me. It'll be interesting, I suppose, to see how far Specter gets with this.

Specter is from Philadelphia, so it's always been obvious where his loyalties lie, and the two cities have basically nothing in common except for license plates. For all intents and purposes, they are in different states. I wouldn't be able to answer any questions about why Specter didn't mention the Steelers at all, except to say that I'd bet he watched those AFC Championship games, and between Kordell Stewart wrapping his hands around his throat for the entire fourth quarter, and Ben Roethlisberger running out of gas about three games before that one, it's fair to assume stealing a sign or two had nothing to do with the outcome.

I do think, though, Specter and his associates are smart enough to realize we're in an election year, and his home state is largely democratic. I know from personal experience the people of the City of Brotherly Apathy are quite powerful when united under a banner, and a certain democratic candidate was recently endorsed by Sen. Ted Kennedy, a Bostonian Democrat through-and-through. Supporting the opposite of New England seems to be where the Republicans would want to be, but New York isn't any different as far as political loyalties, so simply coming out in support of the Giants isn't going to help anything.

Maybe I've had too much coffee, I dunno, but a rational person cannot possibly discount the timing of Specter's announcement as a simple coincidence. But between you, me and the 12 people actually reading this, it is far more entertaining to read than the media scraping the barrel for news in a very boring pre-Super Bowl time, leading up to what will be an extremely boring 45-20 Patriots win.

Sorry for just the teaser...my kid came down with the flu and got progressively worse all night, so we never got back to blogging...

I walked out in the middle of Juno Saturday night with the same thing...hit me like Jacobs hit Woodson...not good times. Great pic though, I thought it made a great point. No disrespect to Chargers, but the Pats were kinda supposed to win that game, and New England winning wasn't nearly as big a story as New England losing would have been.
